Job Summary
Operate pipeline valves during pigging operations and emergencies, and respond to 811 One Calls to locate pipelines while interfacing with third-party contractors. Safely purge and pack pipeline segments, monitor pressure within operating parameters, and vent contents to discontinue operations. Assist with internal corrosion prevention activities and collaborate with Field Operations and Construction Personnel on new projects. Maintain professional competence, adhere to workplace safety rules, and manage multiple tasks with a high degree of efficiency. Requires a valid driver's license, two years of related experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and X Map. Available for overtime, extended hours, and outdoor work in extreme weather within a 150-mile radius of company facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company
- Minimum of two years' related experience, preferably in Midstream
- Proficiency in PC skills and applications, including Microsoft Office products
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good communicator
- Excellent work ethics
- Good background in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather with exposure to elements
- Must be able to lift to 32 pounds at times in a safe manner
- Live within a 150-mile radius of company facilities
- Must be able to work safely and adhere to all federal, state and company policies and procedures governing safe work practices
- Must be able to adapt to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., extreme cold, heat, and humidity)
- Must be able to work extended hours as needed
- Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- X Map
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, climb over objects or structures
- Ability to jump a few feet horizontally and vertically
- Ability to squat, twist, lift, stoop, crawl
- Ability to walk at speed as great as 4½ miles per hour
- Capable of safely evacuating facilities
- Have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
