Pipeline Operator/Pigger

Job Summary
Inspect and maintain facilities including pipe, compressor stations, and equipment used for daily duties. Perform lockout/tagout procedures, monitor field compressor status via SCADA, and execute pipeline pigging operations such as launching, receiving, and inspection. Plan, organize, and prioritize assigned responsibilities while independently managing regulatory compliance documentation for OSHA and DOT requirements. Report and prevent spills, monitor environmental compliance, and oversee upkeep of pipeline valves, actuators, and pumps. Work on a rotating on-call basis for areas of responsibility. Candidates must live locally in the Pecos, TX area and possess proven knowledge of liquid handling equipment and pigging facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
- Candidates must live local
- Proven knowledge and understanding of procedures used to safely pig pipelines i.e. launching, receiving and inspection
- Will also perform lockout/tagout procedures
- Monitor field compressor status through the use of SCADA
- Knowledge of liquid handling equipment, pigging facilities
- Completion of basic safety class
- Previous mechanical and/or oilfield experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Organized, efficient, and have problem solving skills
- Ability to clearly follow instructions, both written and verbal
- Ability to apply common sense to achieve the desired outcomes according to the company's operating procedures and safety protocols
- Organized, efficient and a methodical problem solver
- Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements, (OSHA, DOT, etc.)
