Pipeline Hydraulic Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct hydraulic simulation and analysis for the NGTL, Foothills, ATCO, and Ventures integrated gas transmission systems, evaluating competitive threats and optimizing capital expansion programs. Develop pipeline and facility solutions by providing hydraulic input to datasheets, DBMs, and drawing packages, while preparing CER facility applications and supporting regulatory initiatives. Analyze compressor unit performance characteristics to ensure long-term requirements are met and conduct hydraulic risk assessments for asset management. Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Projects, and Regulatory teams to deliver data-driven recommendations for system capacity and investment decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline
- 2 or more years of progressive, relevant experience
- Registered or soon to be eligible as a P. Eng (Professional Engineer) with APEGA
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical skills, capable of resolving problems independently
- Good verbal and written communication presentation skills
- Able to work and contribute in a team environment

- Background screening is required for all positions, which may include criminal and/or credit checks
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the TC Energy integrated pipeline systems
- Pipeline hydraulic simulation (Synergi Gas) experience
- Programming (e.g., Python, VBA, PowerBI), AI, and/or data analytics experience
