Job Summary
Ensure job site safety and perform proper excavation and compaction procedures. Install sanitary and storm water sewer structures, cut pipes to required lengths, and assist in aligning them for welding or sealing. Check slopes using levels or lasers, connect pipe pieces with welding equipment, cement, or glue, and tap holes for auxiliary lines. Cover pipes with earth, grade trench bases with tamping machines, and train others in pipe-laying techniques. This role requires operating large excavators with precision, maintaining high attention to detail, and meeting physical fitness standards for heavy lifting and varied environments. Compensation is based on experience and certifications, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off.

- Employee must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

- Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
- Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
