Job Summary
Conduct efficient installation of pipes and fittings for civil construction systems including water, sanitary sewer, hydro, and storm water. Work safely on site adhering to safety policies, participate in safety meetings, and support trench shoring systems. Collaborate with the Foreman to align and position pipes per specifications, manage back fill and compaction, and maintain equipment while reporting issues. Train employees and assist crew members on daily site activities outside the primary job scope. Requires experience in civil utilities, pipe lasers, and reading drawings, with physical fitness for outdoor work in all weather conditions. Flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in civil utilities including storm, sanitary sewer, water, and hydro
- Experience using pipe and rotary lasers
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications
- Working knowledge of pipe grading, survey, and evaluations
- Able to identify all hazards associated with various aspects of working in civil projects, as well as correctly communicate safety issues as they arise
- Must be physically fit, able to spend most or all of shift standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and working hands-on in an outdoor environment in all types of weather
- Flexible with hours worked, including overtime and weekend work as needed

Desired Qualifications
- First aid, confined space, and fall protection training is an asset
- Willingness to learn and have a good work ethic
