Job Summary

Install new mechanical equipment, fit up piping requiring welded joints, and test systems for leaks. Read and interpret drawings to determine layout requirements, then measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand or power tools. Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings, and install supports, valves, and control systems. Clean condensate traps and equipment strainers while collaborating with other trades, consultants, and suppliers. Provide occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training. Temporary full-time camp work in Conklin, AB, with a 21x7 schedule of 12-hour days. Journeyman Pipefitter or registered apprentice required; Red Seal preferred. H2S Alive and CSO or CSTS, plus First Aid, are mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal) OR registered apprentice
  • H2S Alive
  • CSO or CSTS
  • First Aid
  • Confined Space
  • Fall Arrest (AWP)
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
  • Shift: 21x7 - 12 hr Days
  • Location: Conklin, AB
  • Direct service provider (DSP)

Desired Qualifications

  • Red Seal preferred
  • Confined Space, Fall Arrest (AWP) considered an asset
