Job Summary
Fabricate, weld, and install piping systems using blueprints, isometrics, and orthographies. Lay out, assemble, and maintain carbon steel, stainless steel, and PVC systems while fabricating pipe hangers, supports, and anchors. Direct helpers to perform tasks and perform material take-offs for buttweld, socket weld, and threaded pipe. Set up oxy-acetylene torches, cut gaskets, and install valves, steam traps, and high-pressure piping. Perform advanced craft math, rigging operations, and basic blueprint reading to ensure compliance with safety manuals and company policies. Work within the Samuel EPC Craft Handbook and follow all safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years minimum Field experience in trade
- Ability to perform material take-offs, figure offsets, take-off of fittings, and pipe rigging
- Ability to work with others to achieve job goals
- Read, write and communicate using the English language sufficient to perform job functions
- Must have open availability any time any day of the week
- Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Must see well (naturally or with correction)
- Must have eye-hand coordination
- Must have good physical fitness
- Must have good sense of balance
- Must be able to work at great heights
