Job Summary
Pipefitter/Plumber role performing journey-level work in fabrication and repair of piping systems and components. Tasks include installing, repairing, altering and troubleshooting piping across steam, condensate, water/glycol, chilled water, clean utilities, compressed gas, vacuum, HVAC and related equipment. Responsibilities cover layout from sketches/P&IDs/isometrics, fabricating threaded/flanged/swaged piping, installing and testing regulators, gauges, valves and drainage systems, rigging piping components, operating hand/power tools and maintaining safe work practices. Must be able to lift/move equipment, read drawings, and work flexible day or second shift schedules. Minimum education is high school equivalent with 5 years apprenticeship/experience; preferred vocational/technical schooling in Layout, Steamfitting and Plumbing; familiarity with local Plumbing Code and ability to interpret P&IDs/isometrics.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5 years apprenticeship / equivalent experience in pipefitting or related mechanical trade in an industrial environment
- Preferred: vocational/technical school certification, Layout, Steamfitting and Plumbing courses, ability to read P&IDs and isometrics
