Job Summary
Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment in trenches, vaults, and above ground according to manufacturer and plan specifications. Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, and tools. Measure, mark, and cut or thread pipe. Plan pipe system layout and installation based on approved drawings. Cut and bore holes in structures such as bulkheads, decks, walls, and mains prior to installation. Perform work safely by monitoring surroundings and other workers on the job site. Assist other workers as needed. This role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to the job site at Santo Domingo Pueblo, NM.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' construction experience
- 2+ years of mechanical piping and pipeline experience with water/wastewater treatment required
- Knowledge of general construction safety and trench safety guidelines
- Experience working with various pipe types including cast iron, PVC, and steel
- General understanding of construction means and methods
- General math abilities
- Valid Driver's license
- The ability to travel to the job site
