Job Summary
Install and glue PVC, fuse HDPE, and connect ductile iron piping using flanged and mechanical joints. Construct manifold systems with Unistrut supports, perform conduit and copper installations including brazing and sweating, and install electrical pull boxes and underground vaults. Interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs for piping layouts while supporting field teams in wellhead installations and environmental system setup. Adhere to safe work practices and site-specific protocols, maintaining open communication with supervisors and crew members. Requires 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Pay rate is $32-$45+/hr DOE.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on pipefitting experience
- Experience with excavation/trenching within closed landfills
- Construction industry background, especially in environmental projects
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER or current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, crawling, and climbing
- Frequent use of hands and arms, including fine motor activities
- Adequate vision and focus capabilities for field work
