Job Summary
Pipefitter needed for nationwide marine/industrial pipe systems installation, maintenance, and repair across shipyards. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining shipboard piping (steam, hydraulic, hot water, air, oil), cutting/threading/bending pipe, preparing pipe sections, connecting to pumps/tanks/exchangers, testing for leaks, making adjustments/repairs, and reading schematics. Requires 3+ years journeyman experience, blueprint reading, marine piping and silver-brazing skills, familiarity with military specs, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and across all shifts. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; English communication required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; background check and medical screening required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience
- Proficient in blueprint reading, marine piping systems, and silver-brazing procedures
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and military specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to communicate and follow directions in English
- Experience in shipbuilding or manufacturing environments is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely at heights of up to 50 feet
- Must pass background check and medical screening for shipyard access
- Available to work all shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed
