Job Summary
Pipefitter for a 2-week contract in a machine tool manufacturing and industrial automation environment. Responsibilities include reading pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and BOMs, building and installing pipe headers, service stands, valves, and related piping components, piping robotic systems and sealer equipment, assembling valve packs and manifolds, routing hoses and tubing to customer specs, drilling/tapping/reaming holes, and performing mechanical assembly and piping modifications during machine builds. Proficient use of hand tools, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication equipment with a focus on independent work and high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- Highly experienced pipefitting in machine tool manufacturing and industrial automation environments
- Ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematic drawings
- Ability to read mechanical assemblies and BOMs
- Experience building, threading, and installing pipe headers
- Experience installing service stands, lockout valves, and related piping components
- Experience with pipe robotic systems and sealer equipment
- Ability to prepare and assemble valve packs and manifolds
- Experience routing, installing, and dressing hoses and tubing to customer specifications
- Drill, tap, and ream holes for installation
- Mechanical assembly and piping modifications during machine builds
- Proficient with hand tools, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication equipment
- Safety-conscious with high-quality workmanship in fast-paced manufacturing environments
