Job Summary

The Pipefitter Foreman is responsible for measuring, cutting, and bending various sizes of pipe and tubing, copper brazing and soldering, threading and assembling black and steel pipe, as well as installing and repairing piping systems to specifications. This role involves training apprentices, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and coordination of materials and equipment. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of industrial pipefitting experience and the ability to read and interpret pipe drawings and scopes of work. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry objects, work in confined spaces, and operate at heights.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Industrial pipefitting experience
  • Working knowledge of all types of piping systems
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret pipe drawings
  • Ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly
  • Ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 20 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
  • Knowledge of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water and drainage systems
  • Ability to read and interpret a written scope of work
  • Perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools
  • Ability to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function and safely use small power tools and hand tools
  • Managerial skills
  • Reliable transportation
