Job Summary
Champion the safety culture while conducting daily inspections for installation quality and code compliance. Prepare detailed weekly 3-week lookahead schedules to optimize manpower allocation and coordinate with project management to review plans and scopes. Manage 1-3 Lead personnel and direct supervision of approximately 20 non-supervisory employees, including training, work assignments, and conflict resolution. Forge professional relationships with General Contractors and Engineers, maintain up-to-date as-builts, and provide on-the-job mentorship to journeymen and apprentices. Requires a City of Phoenix Journeyman license and 15-20 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 15-20 years experience
- Solid knowledge of your trade profession
- Thorough understanding of OSHA requirements in the construction sector
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Ability to interpret blueprints and set elevations accurately for duct system layout
- Experience in detailing various equipment such as fan coils, air handlers, pumps, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, vav's, heat exchangers, and fixtures
- Strong language and mathematical skills
- Ability to interpret technical instructions
- Possession of a City of Phoenix Journeyman license
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and maneuvering heavy objects, and working in various environmental conditions
