Job Summary
Measure, cut, and bend pipe and tubing to specifications, then thread, assemble, and install piping systems including valves, hangers, and flanges. Repair leaks and fabricate components while ensuring all work adheres to trade codes and safety procedures. Lead apprentices in training and development, coordinate materials and labor, and maintain strict adherence to quality standards. This $5,000 sign-on bonus role requires a foreman with at least five years of industrial pipefitting experience and the ability to read pipe drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Industrial pipefitting experience
- Working knowledge of all types of piping systems
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret pipe drawings
- Possess the ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly
- Must have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 20 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
- Knowledge of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water and drainage systems
- Must have the ability to read and interpret a written scope of work
- Perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools
- Must be able to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function and safely use small power tools and hand tools
- Managerial skills
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height
- Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
Desired Qualifications
- Pipe welding using mig, tig, or stick a plus
