Job Summary
HVAC Service Pipefitter/Welder responsible for installation, fabrication, assembly, modification, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC piping systems. Performs pipefitting, welding, brazing, soldering, and mechanical service work on chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, refrigerant, gas, and process piping. Works independently and with service teams to diagnose issues, execute repairs, and deliver high-quality workmanship that meets customer expectations; engages in hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, ensures code and safety compliance, and supports project teams with effective communication and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC/mechanical pipefitting experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC piping systems, materials, and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, schematics, and specifications
- Experience with brazing, soldering, threading, grooving, and welding
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass applicable welding tests and certifications required by the company
