Job Summary
Pipefitter responsible for planning, installing, and maintaining piping systems. Reads blueprints/diagrams/specifications to plan work, measures, cuts, bends, shapes, fabricates, threads, solders/glues piping, and insulates it. Performs operating tests, identifies and repairs problems, documents actions, and maintains tools and equipment. Ensures safe, compliant work environment and adheres to standards. Maintains knowledge through educational opportunities and reads technical publications. Requires knowledge of piping layouts, valves, relief valves, and welding; welding experience is a plus. Must be able to work over 8 hours/day and over 40 hours/week. Pay rate ranges from $33.83 to $36.82 per hour; written skills test and respirator fit test required. Locations include Cincinnati, OH and Greater Cincinnati/Northern KY area, US.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass written skills test
- Must pass respirator fit test
- Available to work over 8 hours/day and over 40 hours/week
- Knowledge of piping systems including layouts, print reading, flanges, manways, gaskets, steam traps and tubing
- Relief valves and general valve maintenance
- Oxy-Act torch experience, relief valves and general valve maintenance
- Special skill of pipe welding is a plus
- General knowledge of pumps, compressors, agitators, bearings, and seals
