Cut, thread, hammer, and weld pipe systems, supports, and hydraulic equipment for steam, hot water, and industrial production. Measure, mark, and plan layouts according to specifications while selecting appropriate pipe sizes and materials. Modify, clean, and maintain systems using hand and power tools, install automatic controls, and operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas. Remove worn components, inspect sites for obstructions, and apply protective coatings to nonferrous materials. Requires 4 years of Journeyman-level experience, NCCER certification, a valid driver's license, and a TWIC card. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship not available.
