Pipefitter - Austin Industrial (La Porte TX)

Pipefitter duties include laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Responsibilities also include cutting, threading, and hammering pipe; attaching pipes to walls and fixtures; planning pipe-system layout; selecting pipe sizes and materials; modifying and maintaining piping and equipment; installing automatic controls and turning valves to isolate systems; removing and replacing worn components; inspecting sites for obstructions; operating pumps to remove water from flooded areas; and coating nonferrous piping materials. Other duties as assigned.
