Job Summary
Read and interpret drawings and design change procedures to install, modify, and repair piping systems, pipe hangers, and supports. Use power and hand tools for metal fabrication, including prepping piping for welding and performing bevels and post-weld ISI prep. Adhere to all site rules, regulations, and PPE requirements while working in varied body positions, heights, and confined spaces. This role requires 3 years of industrial pipe fitting experience, with nuclear experience a plus. Candidates must pass written and hands-on pipefitter tests, background screens, and drug/alcohol testing. Extensive travel and variable hours are necessary, along with a TWIC card.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years minimum of industrial pipe fitting experience
- Ability to pass basic written and hands on pipefitter test at home office
- Ability to pass background screens and drug/alcohol testing as required by our customers
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel extensively
- Ability to work variable hours
- Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to perform sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, and working extended shifts
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and work in varied body positions
- Ability to work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments under varying weather and site conditions
- Ability to work on uneven, slippery, or rough terrain in active industrial or construction settings
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including fall protection and respiratory protection when required
- Ability to maintain situational awareness and communicate effectively to work safely around moving equipment and hazards
