Job Summary
Pipefitter / Steamfitter Apprentice & Journeypersons needed on the DOW Chemical project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems; read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings; measure and cut pipes; join via welding, soldering, or adhesive techniques; inspect and test piping systems for safety and performance; collaborate with other trades; follow safety protocols. Journeyperson will mentor apprentices. Certifications and safety trainings required include CSTS-20, Fall Protection, and MEWP. Fluency in English required; experience in an industrial construction environment preferred. Local camp and allowances are not provided; local accommodations apply.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Provincial Journeyperson Ticket or indentured in a Provincial apprenticeship program.
- CSTS-20 Certificate
- Fall Protection – In Class 8 hour
- Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) – In Class 8 hour
- Experience as a Pipefitter in an industrial construction environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
