Pipefitter Apprentice

Job Summary
Assist journeyman pipefitters with layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of piping systems on commercial and industrial job sites. Handle materials and transport equipment, while learning to read blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping specifications. Operate hand and power tools safely, perform cutting, threading, and fitting of pipe, and maintain a clean work area in compliance with OSHA standards and site safety policies. Participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship coursework. Work full-time Monday through Friday across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and possibly New Hampshire, with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout MA and RI
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work in varied conditions
- Strong work ethic
- Punctuality
- A desire to learn the trade
Desired Qualifications
- Enrollment in or eligibility for a registered pipefitting or plumbing apprenticeship program
- Prior experience in construction, mechanical trades, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- OSHA 30 certification
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 30 certification upon hire
