Job Summary
Read and interpret blueprints, PIDs, and isometric drawings; lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install marine piping systems; work with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel, and aluminum pipe; install valves, hangers, supports, and piping components; perform pipe fit-up and assist with hydrostatic testing; cut, thread, bend, braze, and prep pipe for welding; follow NAVSEA, ABS, Coast Guard, and OSHA standards; work in confined spaces and at heights; collaborate with welders, supervisors, and QA.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Marine Pipe Fitting experience
- Shipyard or marine vessel experience required
- U.S. Citizen (Required)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and marine schematics
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to pass a pipe fitting skills assessment
