Job Summary

Select and plan welding layouts, then position, align, and tack-weld metal components using arc, gas-shielded, or submerged arc equipment. Chip excess weld, slag, or spatter with scrapers, grinders, or cutting tools. Operate manual or semi-automatic machines to fuse segments via gas tungsten, plasma, or resistance welding processes. Pass qualification tests including 6G pipe or 5G Butt/Branch under API 1104, ASME B31.3, or B31.4 codes. Report to the Foreman and comply with PCM Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations. Lift up to 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds while standing, walking, or crawling.

Required Qualifications

  • Welders must be able to pass a welder qualification test consisting of but not limited to 6G pipe or 5G Butt/Branch under one of these codes: IE API 1104, ASME B31.3, B31.4
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to talk or hear

  • Willingness to comply with PCM Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and regulations
  • Willingness to comply with all governmental regulations
