Job Summary
Weld pipe according to customer specifications, measure, cut, and bend pipe and tubing. Perform copper brazing, soldering, and assemble pipe systems; repair leaks and install components according to plans. Requires minimum of 3 years commercial/industrial pipe welding experience, expertise in carbon and stainless steel welding, and ability to read specifications. Must possess physical strength and capability to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial/industrial pipe welding
- Carbon steel stick 6G
- Carbon steel TIG 6G
- Stainless steel TIG 6G
- Able to position weld in field and in shop atmosphere
- Working knowledge of all types of piping systems
- Must have the ability to read and interpret a written scope of work
- Perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools
- Must be able to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function and safely use power tools and hand tools

Additional Requirements
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height
- Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
