Job Summary
Perform welding on commercial piping systems using SMAW, GTAW, and/or MIG processes while reading blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols. Execute high-quality welds, prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting pipes, and inspect joints to meet industry standards. Maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently. This role requires passing a 6G weld certification test and includes potential overtime, weekends, and travel. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights. ENFRA is a leader in innovative energy solutions within the Energy-as-a-Service sector.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a 6G pipe welding certification test (required)
- 2+ years of experience as a pipe welder in commercial or industrial construction
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS)
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- May require overtime, weekends, and travel depending on project needs
Desired Qualifications
- Current welding certifications (AWS, ASME, or equivalent)
- OSHA safety training (e.g., OSHA 10 or 30)
- Preferred 5 years of experience as a pipe welder in commercial or industrial construction
