Job Summary
Read blueprints, isometric drawings, welding symbols, and job specifications. Perform pipe welding on carbon steel and stainless steel systems, cut, fit, and assemble piping according to project requirements. Operate welding machines, grinders, torches, and beveling equipment safely while inspecting completed welds for quality and code compliance. Maintain welding tools and a clean work area, and report safety concerns or equipment issues to supervisors. Collaborate with crew members to complete industrial construction projects on schedule. Candidates must be willing to work at assigned worksites in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Louisiana, including overtime, weekends, and travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipe Welder in industrial, commercial, refinery, petrochemical, or construction environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, welding symbols, and measurements
- Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other industrial piping systems
- Proficient in the operation of welding and fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial construction environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors when required
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel to assigned worksites as project needs require
- Candidates must be willing to work at any assigned location based on project and operational needs
