Job Summary
Pipe Welder 1st Class working per-diem, with bonus and lodging advance, welding pipes of various metals on ships or in a shop to support fabrication and construction of marine vessels including US Naval, Military Sealift Command, and commercial ships. GTAW 6G Open Root welds (Aluminum, Steel, Stainless to Steel, Copper Nickel), Socket welds (Carbon Steel to CuNi, Carbon Steel to Stainless Steel, CuNi to CuNi). Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in extreme conditions and lift up to 50 lbs; safety policy adherence required.
