Pipe Operator at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry in Huntsville, AL. Responsible for monitoring the extruder and down-stream equipment, assisting with changeovers, weighing pipe, inspecting quality using micrometer and tape, packaging pipe with a strapping tool, and moving product to storage with a forklift. Maintains 5S housekeeping, completes production quality records, sets up cooling tanks, and assists maintenance with equipment repairs and tool changes. Performs minor repairs on pipe racks/printers, ensures safety and attendance, and communicates with the extruder operator. Shifts are 12 hours and may include weekends and nights.
