Pipe Layers

Install mechanical joint water lines, bolt connections, and air release valves while laying ductile water and PVC sewer pipe. Grade lines for positive flow, calculate slopes using levels and lasers, and cut, thread, and weld pipes to specifications. Locate existing pipes via potholing, tap holes for auxiliary lines, and secure structures with clamps and hangers. Grout manholes and inspect systems using hydrostatic testing. This full-time role in Alamogordo, New Mexico requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in all weather, and occasional weekend overtime. Two to three years of experience laying underground water lines and sanitary sewers is required.
