Job Summary
Configure pipe routes, align pipes in sections, and dig trenches with specialized tools for storm sewers, sanitation drains, and water mains. Slide pipes into trenches, correct misalignments with sledgehammers, and seal joints using cement, glue, or welding equipment to ensure tight fits. Inspect fitted pipes using grade rods or transit levels, drill holes for auxiliary lines, and cover installations with dirt. Maintain and replace defective pipes as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with lunch time included.
