Job Summary
Assist in planning and coordinating day-to-day crew activities on underground utility and heavy civil projects. Perform and supervise excavation, trenching, and backfilling operations around existing utilities safely. Install, assemble, and connect piping systems, including water, sewer, and storm infrastructure. Conduct wet taps, tie-ins, and other connections to existing systems according to project specifications. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment operators to ensure materials and machinery are on-site when needed. Monitor and maintain proper shoring, trench safety, and site safety practices at all times. Provide input for daily reports, including progress, material usage, and safety observations. Communicate any potential delays or issues affecting the project timeline to management promptly. Requires 3+ years of field experience; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred. Flexible, experience-based pay of $20-32 DOE.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years field experience
- Experience in working on relevant projects
- Must be able to work in team setting
- Able to effectively communicate in English both written & spoken
- Physically capable to work on your feet and lift/move material productively
- Must have a good pair of work boots
