Pipe Foreperson

Job Summary
Pipe foreperson to direct activities of pipe crew on highways/pipeline construction. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and related documents to plan work, maintaining daily records in a job diary, scheduling materials and equipment, developing SIPs for the crew, tracking daily quantities, conducting daily huddles to set production goals, and ensuring crew alignment with the plan. Requires strong leadership, effective communication, safety adherence (OSHA), ability to mentor team, and interaction with customer representatives and inspectors. Position involves regular outdoor work with exposure to outside weather and moving mechanical parts, and requires a valid driver’s license and ability to pass fit testing and PPE usage. 100% company-paid health benefits and other benefits offered; standard pre-employment requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR one year of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills including probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Problem solving
- Basic computer skills including Internet, email, and the use of digital cameras for work documentation
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
