Job Summary
Pipe Foreman responsible for safety of field crews, communicates Prince safety policies, oversees and coordinates activities of field employees, assesses crew competency, resolves issues among crew members, ensures production schedules are met, translates work requirements into prioritized crew plans, inspects sites for sequencing and safety, identifies scheduling conflicts with other crews/subcontractors, prepares required reports, approves material requisitions, and maintains employee time reporting. Requires 3-5 years in heavy highway construction, ability to read drawings, strong scheduling/planning, excellent communication and time management, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Field work outdoors in Florida heat and rain; long/variable hours.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years in heavy highway construction with knowledge of project construction scope and objectives, including layout, assembly and installation of large drain pipes and culverts
- Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications for the project
- Strong knowledge of scheduling and planning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to apply effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Clean Florida driver’s license
- Ability to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull
- Ability to work on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week
- Outdoors work environment in Florida heat and rain; proximity to heavy highway traffic areas
