Job Summary
Pipe Fitter journeyman responsible for removing, repairing, laying out, fabricating, installing, and testing marine piping systems (Auxiliary Salt Water, Fire Main, Potable Water, Hydraulic, Compressed Air, Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, Engine Exhaust) in a shipyard setting, and for providing direction to improvers and helpers as directed by the supervisor. Responsibilities include working to work item specifications, performing tests, and ensuring proper installation. Housing assistance is available. Location: San Diego, CA with great hours and overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Pipe fitter journeyman
- experience with marine piping systems
- ability to lay out, fabricate, install and test piping systems
- ability to direct improvers and helpers as directed by supervisor
