Job Summary
Mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings, assist in installing valves, couplings, and fittings, and cut or grind pipe for hydronic commercial piping systems. Disassemble damaged pipe, change hubs and rollers, and perform other related duties as assigned. Work aloft, climb ladders and scaffolds, and operate heavy machinery and power tools while adhering to all safety policies. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures including inclement weather. Requires six months of pipe fitting helper experience and ability to travel to multiple job sites. Required Qualifications
- minimum of six-months pipe fitting helper experience
- equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- Able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift, and carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to multi-task
