Job Summary
Pipe Fitter role responsible for installing extensive shipboard piping systems on submarines and carriers, including reading blueprints, fabricating, installing, inspecting, and testing piping networks. Training includes a Fundamentals of Piping Fitting class with ongoing training to enhance skills. The position requires working at extreme heights or in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 lbs, ability to pass a respirator fit test, and adaptability to year-round indoor/outdoor conditions. Eligible candidates typically have Marine Pipe Fitter experience (1+ year) and may have a high school diploma. - Must Have: Candidates must able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces; must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb; must be able to lift 40 lbs and must take and pass a respirator fit test; must be able to work indoors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions; must be able to work assigned shift as production needs; must be able to pass Physical Agility Test; qualified candidates must have at least 1 year of previous Marine Pipe Fitter experience
