Job Summary

Manage assigned PIP arbitration matters from preparation through resolution, including drafting basic briefs, replies, and supporting legal documents. Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers while reviewing medical records, bills, and EOBs. Assist attorneys with arbitration preparation, case management, and post-service appeals as needed. Monitor deadlines and maintain accurate case documentation. This role involves working closely with experienced arbitration attorneys to resolve New Jersey PIP matters.

Required Qualifications

  • hands-on experience with New Jersey PIP arbitration
  • comfortable reviewing medical records and billing
  • drafting basic legal briefs
  • negotiating with insurance carriers
  • managing case deadlines
  • assisting attorneys with arbitration preparation and case management
  • monitoring deadlines and maintaining accurate case documentation
  • assisting with post-service appeals and other litigation support as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in New Jersey PIP or personal injury
  • Experience negotiating PIP arbitration settlements
  • Basic legal brief writing experience
  • Knowledge of New Jersey PIP Arbitration procedures
  • Knowledge of the New Jersey PIP Fee Schedule, precertification requirements, and post-service appeals
  • Experience with Litify or similar case management software
