Job Summary

Captain (Pilot in Command) for an air ambulance operation. As PIC, you will be the final authority for safe aircraft operation, ensure timely and safe flight execution, and lead the flight crew in delivering critical medical transport services. Responsibilities include flight planning, weather assessment, verifying airport facilities, maintaining aircraft serviceability and airworthiness, conducting fuel quantity and weight & balance calculations, supervising crew, ensuring FAA regulations and safety protocols are followed, attending mandatory ground, simulator, and safety training, assisting with loading/unloading baggage and passenger needs, overseeing international customs requirements and security protocols, maintaining flight logs, maintenance reports, and financial receipts, and actively reporting and mitigating operational hazards and safety concerns. Key competencies include safety-first mindset, strong communication, attention to detail, problem solving & decision making, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Rating
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Total Flight Time: Minimum 2,500 hours
  • PIC Multi-Engine Jet Time: Minimum 500 hours
  • Actual Instrument Time: Minimum 200 hours
  • Night Flight Experience: Minimum 250 hours
  • Multi-Crew Aircraft Experience: Minimum 2 years
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required (4-year degree preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and aviation-related software
