Piling Rig Operator

Job Summary
Operate piling rigs to install structural foundations for solar farm projects, positioning and aligning equipment using survey marks, GPS, or laser tools. Read technical drawings and piling plans, adjust settings based on ground conditions, and ensure piles meet required depth, angle, and alignment specifications. Conduct pre-start and routine maintenance checks, maintain accurate records of installation data, and troubleshoot site issues while collaborating with supervisors and engineers. This hands-on role requires a safety-first approach and strong technical ability to meet daily piling targets on renewable energy infrastructure projects across Australia.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating poling rigs on civil construction, infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Current White Card
- Proven piling rig operating experience
- Experience operating piling rigs such as Soilmec, Bauer or similar
- Strong understanding of safe piling methods, ground conditions and site controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and piling plans
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to WHS requirements
- Good communication, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work away from home and across project sites as required

- Experience on solar farm projects
- RIICFW304E – Conduct Piling Operations, or equivalent
