Job Summary
Pilates Mat Instructor needed to teach scheduled Pilates classes at the LECOM Medical Fitness & Wellness Center. Responsibilities include delivering Pilates sessions with appropriate modifications, maintaining safety and cleanliness, staying current with industry certifications, recording attendance, coordinating substitutions as needed, and providing engaging participant experiences. Requires a current Pilates Mat certification from a recognized program, CPR/AED within 90 days of hire, and at least 2 years of group-instruction experience; a group-instructor certification (preferably NCCA-accredited) is preferred. High school diploma or GED is preferred. In-person, hourly, part-time role at Erie, PA with opportunities for hourly compensation and employee membership perks.
Required Qualifications
- A current certification for Pilates Mat instruction from a recognized Pilates training program is required to teach Pilates Mat classes in a group exercise format is required
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in group class instruction, teaching a variety of styles, levels and population preferred
- CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness)
- A group exercise instructor certification preferred, preferably an NCCA accredited certification
- Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor
