Job Summary
Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group Pilates classes for participants of all skill and fitness levels. Answer participant questions within your scope of knowledge, maintain current wellness trends to support members, and observe class dynamics to adjust approaches for individual physical conditions and capabilities. Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor while ensuring a positive environment that aligns with the YMCA mission. Complete the YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Area of Expertise
- CPR
- First Aid
- AED
- national certification (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, ISSA, NASM, NESTA, NETA, NPTI, NSCA) in personal training
- Proven knowledge of exercise science
- movement coaching
- movement competency
- Completion of YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience teaching group wellness classes
