Job Summary
Serve guests by providing exceptional knowledge of Food & Beverage menu items, including their origin, taste, and preparation methods. Anticipate guest needs, respond urgently to concerns, and communicate orders to chefs and bartenders using the point-of-sales system. Maintain a harmonious relationship with co-workers and departments while enforcing Four Seasons' Work Rules and Standards of Conduct. Breakdown, clean, and set up tables and drink stations, and properly close guest checks and process payments. Check completed orders against original requests and remain mindful of spoilages. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Outlet Manager. Work 40 hours per week with 10 days off monthly.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and all departments
- Ability to comply with and enforce Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
- Ability to anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
- Ability to respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Ability to assist in other areas of the department as needed
- Ability to describe the selection of Food & Beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods
- Ability to maintain food & menu knowledge for items offered in the F&B Outlet
- Ability to communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the chef and bartender using the Hotel's point-of-sales system
- Ability to check completed orders with the guest's original order
- Ability to serve the guests in a timely manner
- Ability to follow FS standards
- Ability to breakdown, clean and set-up of tables and drink stations
- Ability to perform any additional duties as assigned by Outlet Manager
- Ability to properly and accurately close guest checks
- Ability to process cash and credit card payments
- Ability to properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
- Ability to be mindful of spoilages
- Ability to work 40 working hours per week
- Ability to work 10 days off every month except February (9 days)
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably two years F&B service or related work
