Job Summary
Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments, document evaluations, and obtain informed consent for patients undergoing cataract, retina, and cornea surgeries. Manage airways, administer medications and fluids, and oversee emergence and recovery in a streamlined outpatient environment. Release patients from the post-anesthesia care area, provide follow-up evaluations, and respond to emergency situations using advanced cardiac life support techniques. Collaborate with the surgical team and facility leadership to develop continuity of care standards and lead quality initiatives. Maintain compliance with American Association of Nurse Anesthetists rules at local, state, and federal levels. Attend meetings as needed and contribute to departmental teamwork by solving outstanding issues.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor
- Successfully completed the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Certification or its predecessor's
- At least two years of independent experience
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3PM as needed
- 32-hour workweek
