Job Summary
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accurate and detailed records. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient status. Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and consult with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate care. Provide direct patient care, utilizing therapeutic communication to maintain a safe environment and instruct families on disease processes and discharge instructions. When acting as charge nurse, make staff assignments based on patient need and acuity. Requires RN licensure, current BLS, PALS within 6 months, and one year of RN experience. Pediatric ICU, Adult ICU, or Pediatric experience is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state
- Current BLS
- PALS required within 6 months
- 1 year of RN experience required
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric ICU, Adult ICU or Pediatric experience highly preferred
