Job Summary
Deliver fun, safe, and inclusive pickleball lessons, programs, clinics and leagues. Ensure attendance is taken and paperwork is handed in promptly. Communicate with participants to troubleshoot issues; liaise with the programmer regarding program, facility, or participant developments. Manage class and preparation time and arrive on time. Provide information and customer service to the public. Complete incident/accident reports and administer first aid as required, notifying a supervisor as appropriate. Certifications and background checks required; availability to work evenings and weekends. Certifications not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to commencement. Position includes Instructor 1 (starting $30.00) and Instructor 2 (starting $35.00) with pay to be determined by experience and requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- NCCP Instructor Level 1 Certification (Level 2 preferred)
- DUPR 3.5 playing level
- High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development and High Five Sport certifications
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification or Safe Management certification is an asset
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town
- Demonstrated work experience of at least two years in a club setting (Instructor 1) or at least three years (Instructor 2)
- Rate of pay determined by experience and certifications
