Job Summary
The Picker is responsible for removing and processing materials in a scrap-yard environment, ensuring adherence to Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Duties include general yard cleanup/maintenance (weeding, brush removal, blacktop repairs), removal of non-metallic material and metals at the shredder/non-ferrous belts, greasing and cleanup at the shear/shredder, assisting with repairs, and providing backup throughout the yard. Must be able to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and learn new tasks; scrap yard experience is preferred. U.S. applicants must be 18+ (Canada 16+). Radius Recycling participates in e-verify; an offer is contingent on a post-offer drug screen and background check; arbitration agreement applies to all U.S. non-union employees. - Experience in a scrap yard preferred
