Picker/Packer (Day Shift)

Job Summary
Picker Packer is responsible for pulling items that have been ordered from a list and packing them together for shipment or delivery. They ensure items are accounted for per order, in a timely manner. This role supports receiving/checking in, inventory organization, communication with Inventory/Sales/Purchasing on stock, quality control of stored inventory, reading purchase orders/invoices, reporting discrepancies, updating databases/records, providing logistical support to warehouse staff, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. The position requires forklift knowledge or certification, strong attention to detail, data analysis capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role is morning/midday shift and located in Salem, OR; it is not eligible for teleworking or a flex schedule. Required Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of products being housed and how to house and pack them properly
- Must have industry knowledge and background in general warehouse or inventory departments
- Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze large sets of data
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment at a fast pace
- Must be physically able to operate forklift, pallet jack, computer, office equipment, telephone and calculator
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and reach with items weighing up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to walk around the warehouse and stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to withstand working in extreme heat or extreme cold found in a warehouse environment
