Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and adjust picking room equipment to ensure efficient feather removal, product quality, and minimal bird damage while maintaining safety and compliance in the RKP department. Set up and validate picking equipment, finger plates, and scalder temperatures; inspect birds for feather removal and cuticle standards; and troubleshoot equipment performance issues. Communicate concerns to supervisors and maintenance teams, complete required documentation, and log checks using basic computer skills. Perform duties in noisy, wet, and hot conditions while adhering to safety programs and PPE requirements. Industry experience in food processing is required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the food processing industry
- Familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies)
- Basic computer skills
