Job Summary
Safely operate a FedEx-branded step van or box truck to complete residential and commercial package deliveries and pickups on an assigned route. Load, organize, and secure packages for efficient delivery while using handheld scanners and mobile devices to manage stops. Follow DOT regulations and all safety procedures, perform daily vehicle inspections, and report maintenance concerns. Provide professional customer service at every stop and assist with loading/unloading at the terminal when needed. Work a rotating schedule including weekends starting at 7:45 AM sharp.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- No major moving violations or license suspensions within the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check, and pre-employment/random drug screenings
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 150 lbs
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and strong ability to communicate
- Must be available to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends
- Daily start time is approximately 7:45 AM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with package delivery, moving companies, Amazon DSP, UPS, FedEx, landscaping, towing, courier services, Uber, Lyft, Kroger Delivery, or similar driving positions
